Designed and constructed over a six-month period, The Castle View Renovation involved the complete remodel of an existing 1970s/80s ski chalet in the Blue Mountains of Ontario.

The stylish homeowners had only just recently moved to the area from downtown Toronto and were envisioning a home that would reflect their lives together thus far as city dwellers, world travellers and avid skiers. They wanted it to be eclectic, graphic, and colourful, but comfortable and reminiscent of a classic chalet at the same time.

The brief was to brighten, revive and modernize the home. The clients asked specifically that we include shades of green in the palette; ensure a functional kitchen well suited to entertaining; create a sizeable parents’ retreat with an ensuite haven; and incorporate display and storage for their prized record collection.
